Commission on improving dignity in care: The Commission on improving dignity in care was established as part of a joint initiative from the NHS Confederation, Age UK and the Local Government Association (LGA), to help improve dignity in care for older people in hospitals and care homes. The Commissioners include representatives of patients and residents, experts from the world of nursing and medicine, and management of health and social care services
Skills for Care: Skills for Care ensures that England’s adult social care workforce has the appropriately skilled people in the right places working to deliver high quality social care. To achieve this, it focus on the attitudes, values, skills and qualifications people need to undertake their roles.
UK Home Care Association (UKHCA): United Kingdom Homecare Association Ltd (UKHCA) is the professional association of home care providers from the independent, voluntary, not-for-profit and statutory sectors. UKHCA helps organisations that provide social care, which may include nursing services, to people in their own homes, promoting high standards of care and providing representation with national and regional policy-makers and regulators. The Association represents over two-thousand members across the United Kingdom, in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Accredited Living Wage Employers: A Living Wage Employer ensures that all employees are paid at least the Living Wage. This includes individuals who work on a regular basis at your premises for a subcontractor, such as cleaners or security staff. Between them, the employers committed to paying a Living Wage have lifted more than 45,000 families out of working poverty. Over 100 employers from every sector are now paying a living wage. The Living Wage Employer mark recognises and celebrates this leadership.
